Our wonderful principal Mr. Hume is retiring at the end of this school year. We celebrated “Ray Day” to honor Mr. Hume and all that he has done for SAE. The students and staff dressed like Mr. Hume. We had a parade in the hallway. It was so much fun. Later that day I took some of the students to his office for a photo and one of them said, “I love you Mr. Hume”! I teared up….we will miss him!

February Activities
I am sorry for the lack of pictures lately but believe me we have been busy learning! February was a busy month but I didn’t take many pictures. We celebrated Dental Health by learning all about how to take care of our teeth!
At the end of the unit we made this fun snack!
We also had a little Valentine’s party. We made a Mr. or Mrs. Heart craft, graphed our candy hearts and enjoyed a snack.
In Math we began our unit on Measuring. We have compared and measured objects in our classroom and learned how to use the balance scale!

We are 100 Days Smarter!
We celebrated the 100th Day of School today. We have been counting down to this day since Day 1 of school. The students were so excited. They were able to decorate a shirt, hat or poster with 100 items on it. We have some creative students! Everyone looked great and we had fun counting to 100 and doing lots of 100 day activities today!
We only have 80 days of school left this year! Can you believe it? We have lots more learning to do in Kindergarten!!
