Week of March 19th

We had a great week back at school after our week of for Spring Break!  The students told me all about their adventures during the break but they seemed ready to be back with their friends at school!

Here are just a few pictures from this week. I forgot to get my camera out! We studied Community Helpers this week.  We painted police cars.

We also learned about Firefighters.  We made a tree map and then wrote sentences.

We also adopted a 3rd Grade class to encourage the students to do well on the MCT2 test that they will be taking in May.  Here is a sign we made for them.  Go 3rd Graders!!

Groovy Day

This 9 week’s Good Behavior Party theme was
“Groovy Day” .  Students who earned at least 60 Bulldog Bucks got to go to this fabulous party!  The kids dressed in his/her groovy clothes and headed to the gym for loads of fun!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

On March 2nd we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  We read Dr. Seuss books all week in preparation of his birthday on Friday.  As part of Read Across America day we had a couple of guest readers including the Good Neighbor Bear.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 even made an appearance!

At the end of the day we enjoyed a special snack made by Will’s mom, Mrs. Ashley.  This snack goes with the story “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Two Fish”.  The children really enjoyed this tasty treat!

Miss Vicksburg, Jeralyn Stuart, stopped by for a visit as well!  The girls loved seeing her crown!
