We were so busy in the month of December that I have not even had a chance to post pictures! There was lots of learning and fun going on in our class. Here are some pictures of things that went on this past month!
During our study of evergreen trees, Mrs. Little came and helped us make edible evergreen wreaths! They turned out super cute and they were delish!
Mrs. Little came back the next week and we made edible Christmas trees. Mmmm….
We read lots of versions of The Gingerbread Man our last full week of school. The students absolutely love this unit! It is so much fun to read the different stories and compare/contrast. I think everyone’s favorite is The Gingerbread Girl! She is super cute! As part of our Christmas Party we decorated and baked two Gingerbread Cookies. We made one Gingerbread Boy and one Gingerbread Girl. Everyone helped decorate.
After we finished decorating our cookies we took them to the cafeteria to bake. We told the ladies to watch closely because we didn’t want them to jump out and run away! But guess what?! The girl and boy jumped out of the oven and ran all over the school. We searched all over and read clues that they left for us.
We finally decided to go back to our classroom and guess what! They were taking a nap. We decided they were worn out from all that running!
We put a few finishing touches on them and ate the all up!
We had such an exciting month in December. We did so much that I can’t post it all. Mrs. Smith and I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and we can’t wait to see you in 2012!
