We started January off by studying Penguins. We read lots of Penguin books…some fiction and some non-fiction. The students enjoyed making a cute penguin snack.
The students made a penguin foldable showing the life cycle of a penguin. They turned out really cute!
Here is our brainstorming chart on Penguins. We added facts throughout our study as we learned something new!
Students practiced putting numbers in order in one of our Math Stations.
One of our favorite stories we read was “Tacky the Penguin”. Students wrote about Tacky on this adorable penguin writing paper.
