We had a fabulous 1st day of Kindergarten. We read the book The Kissing Hand. This book is about a young raccoon named Chester who is going to school for the first time. He is a little nervous and scared. His mother gives him a kiss in the palm of his hand a.k.a kissing hand. Every time he feels scared or sad he can put his palm up to his cheek and feel his mother’s love. We talked about our feelings on the 1st day of school and discussed what we could do if we were feeling scared or nervous. Landon’s mother made these delicious Kissing Hand cookies for our snack. They were very cute!!
We worked so hard all day learning RULES and PROCEDURES that we very tired!
